*read your latest blog entries* as someone who's been off spotify for half a year it makes you work harder for new music and you kinda appreciate it more tbh. the youtube algo isn't too bad either, nothing like it used to be but still can surprise ya.

This is comforting. Always love a new reason to appreciate music more. I'll prob feel like a kid again scouring different sources for new stuff like I used to when I would burn CDs or not want to ask my parents to buy me new stuff on iTunes lol. Not a bad thing! Excited to get off Spotify for lots of reasons. Plus, the CEO is a dick, company practices are crap, and the artists deserve better c:

yup I discovered way more new music in highschool on the old lastfm and online friends than I have using spotify... the algo is okay but it can also get really predictable. i've been on spotify for more than 10 years and it still can't wow me which is like.. whats the point lol
